代官山インスタレーション2005 グランプリ受賞作品

代官山は他の繁華街と違い、建物同士の間隔が広く、風の抜ける心地よい街である。そこで、風見鶏のように風を受ける矢印を作り、建物の壁面全体に取り付けることで、普段見えない風の流れを感じてもらえるような作品にした。矢印は風が止むとその位置で留まるようにバランスがとられており、最後に吹いた風の軌跡が定着するようになっている。結果として、代官山という街ならではの様々な風をひきうけ、多様な表情が建築の表面に現れることとなった。

"Blowin'in the wind"
Daikanyama Installation 2005 Grand Prix
Daikanyama, unlike other busy quarters of Tokyo, is a pleasant town where the wind blows through the architectural spaces between and within dispersed buildings. In order to perceive the traces of the wind, we have filled a mesh screen in a building with a number of arrows. Like weathercocks, the arrows point in respective directions as the wind blows and rest in balance as the wind stops. During the exhibition, the arrows have succeeded in recording the traces of the wind as they have created a variety of geometrical forms on the mesh screen of the building.
